Axis Robotics is a physical-AI data project: people teleoperate a simulated robot arm in a web browser, and the resulting motion data is cleaned, verified and turned into robot training sets. AXIS is its token on Base, used for contributor rewards and ecosystem funding. The token hit #1 on CoinGecko's trending list on October 23, 2026, but trending rank only measures attention. Before buying, the bigger questions are that only 16.5% of supply is circulating, a lot more is scheduled to unlock, and liquidity is thin compared with trading volume.
Everything below comes from pages read on October 23, 2026: the Axis docs, the tokenomics page, the community sale page and CoinMarketCap. Market figures are a snapshot from that day and will have moved by the time you read this.
What Axis Robotics actually does
Large language models learned from text scraped off the internet. Robots have no equivalent pile of physical-interaction data, and collecting it with real robots in labs is slow and expensive. Axis Robotics tries to crowdsource that data instead.
- Browser simulation: contributors control a simulated robot arm to complete tasks such as picking up a mug, sorting objects or opening a drawer. No hardware is needed.
- Human correction: once a policy (the robot's control model) is trained, it attempts the task while a contributor watches, and the contributor takes over when it slips. Those corrections train the next version.
- First-person real-world data: a mobile pipeline for capturing everyday human actions is planned; CoinMarketCap's project description says the app is still in development.
- On-chain provenance: each signed, verified trajectory gets a Data ID recorded on Base alongside its task ID and contributor ID.
The docs list more than 229,000 contributors, over 7.3 million trajectories and over 7.0 million on-chain records as of October 10, 2026. The team is described as AI and robotics researchers from UC Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon, UCLA and NTU, and the sale page cites a $12M seed round led by Hack VC. Crypto Briefing reported the token launch on October 10, 2026. Keep in mind these usage numbers are self-reported, not independently audited.
Axis Points, earned for accepted contributions, are non-transferable and are not tokens. The docs say Points may be one input for future airdrop eligibility, and that they do not by themselves create a financial right.
AXIS tokenomics and unlock schedule

Per the official tokenomics, total supply is fixed at 1,000,000,000 AXIS with no inflation. At the token generation event (TGE), 165 million tokens, or 16.5%, were circulating. The remaining 83.5% unlocks on allocation-specific schedules, and everything is unlocked by month 35.

Grouped together, the network (ecosystem plus contributor rewards) holds 61.08%, team and investors 31.67%, liquidity 6% and the community sale plus campaigns 1.25%. The one-year lock on insider tokens limits early selling by the team and backers, but ecosystem tokens begin vesting right away, so circulating supply grows every month.
What the token is used for
The docs list three uses: ecosystem development, contributor rewards and staking plus governance. The last one is explicitly marked as proposed, with terms to be published before launch. As of October 2026, there is no confirmed utility that requires holders to lock or spend AXIS.
The community sale
The sale page shows 10 million AXIS (1% of supply) sold on Sonar from September 21 to 28, 2026, at $0.10 each for a $1M round, which implies a $100M fully diluted valuation. Demand exceeded the cap and the final pro-rata fill was 42.03%. Buyers get 25% plus a 5–25% bonus at TGE; the remaining 75% unlocks over six months after a six-month cliff.

Volume above three times market cap means the float changed hands several times in a day. That pattern is typical of a fresh launch driven by short-term trading and exchange campaigns, and it can fade as fast as it arrived. CoinMarketCap also tags AXIS with Binance Alpha, which is not the same thing as a full spot listing, so check exactly which markets you can trade on.
If you want to see whether chatter is still growing, theddari's crypto Telegram trends track how often coins are mentioned across channels. If AXIS lists on a Korean won exchange, the kimchi premium tracker shows the gap between Korean and global prices. Both tools describe current attention and price gaps; neither predicts where the price goes next.
Checklist before buying AXIS
- 1
Verify the contract and official channels
Start from axisrobotics.ai, docs.axisrobotics.ai and @axisrobotics on X. Match the Base contract
0x5bE75e3b0aFf5D1A042A5363Ae36AcB1d6d755eaagainst what your wallet or exchange shows. Do not confuse it with Axie Infinity (AXS). The sale page says Axis will never DM a different link or ask for a seed phrase. - 2
Price in the locked supply
A modest market cap hides an FDV roughly six times larger. At an unchanged price, the market would need to absorb the remaining 83.5% of supply. Note the monthly ecosystem releases and the insider unlocks expected from the second half of 2027.
- 3
Check liquidity and holder concentration
Use Basescan to see the top holders and label which wallets are the treasury, exchanges or liquidity pools. On a DEX, check the actual pool depth and test slippage with a small order first.
- 4
Ask whether usage creates token demand
Contributor counts and trajectory totals do not automatically translate into buying pressure for AXIS. Look for evidence that robotics companies or AI labs pay for the data, whether payments flow through AXIS, and when staking terms are confirmed.
- 5
Size the position and plan an exit
A token barely two weeks old can swing hard within a day; its high and low were set on the same date. Only use money you can afford to lose, and decide your loss limit and selling rules before you buy.
Risks specific to robotics and AI small caps
- Narrative risk: robotics and physical AI are hot themes, so prices can move on storytelling rather than revenue, and reverse sharply when attention shifts.
- Self-reported metrics: contributor numbers and research results come from the project's own docs and papers until independent checks accumulate.
- Unconfirmed utility: staking and governance are proposed, and Season 2 contributor reward terms are unpublished.
- Ongoing dilution: ecosystem tokens unlock monthly for 35 months, with team and investor tokens joining after year one.
- Jurisdiction limits: the sale excluded US persons and 27 restricted jurisdictions. Your exchange's country restrictions and local tax and reporting rules still apply to secondary-market purchases.
Bottom line: Axis Robotics has a concrete business idea, crowdsourced robot training data with on-chain provenance, and publishes detailed tokenomics. The AXIS token, however, is newly launched, has only 16.5% of supply circulating and lacks confirmed utility. Judge it on the contract address, FDV and unlock calendar, liquidity and real token demand rather than on its trending rank.
