Super Pepe (SP) is not PEPE. It is a separate Ethereum memecoin that dresses Pepe the Frog up as a superhero, with its own contract address, supply, launch date and social accounts. On October 30, 2026, Super Pepe kept appearing at number one on CoinGecko's trending list while the original PEPE also sat near the top, which makes the two easy to confuse. This guide compares them using figures we pulled directly from CoinGecko and on-chain explorers, then walks through what to check before buying. All numbers are as of October 30, 2026; a token this new can change a lot within hours.
What is Super Pepe?
CoinGecko describes Super Pepe as an Ethereum-based meme token featuring Pepe in a superhero-inspired identity, with SP serving as the community token. There is no product, revenue model or whitepaper listed. Like most memecoins, its price is driven by attention and trading demand rather than by any use.

The price history shows how violent early trading can be. CoinGecko recorded an all-time low of about $0.0032 at 01:34 UTC on October 29, 2026, and an all-time high of about $0.0201 at 19:36 UTC the same day. That is roughly a 6x move inside one day, and moves of that size can run in reverse just as quickly.
Super Pepe vs PEPE: compare the contracts, not the names
On a blockchain, the only reliable identifier for a token is its contract address. Anyone can deploy a token called Pepe or Super Pepe, but no two contracts share an address.

By market cap alone, PEPE's CoinGecko data puts it about 108 times larger than SP. That does not make PEPE stable: at about $0.00000493 it was roughly 82% below its December 9, 2024 peak of about $0.00002803 and about 29.7% lower than a year earlier. Even an established memecoin swings hard.
PEPE also exists on BNB Chain and Arbitrum at 0x25d887ce7a35172c62febfd67a1856f20faebb00 and on Avalanche at 0xa659d083b677d6bffe1cb704e1473b896727be6d. The same project has different addresses on different chains, so always check the chain and the address as a pair.
How to verify you have the right token
A quick search turns up several unrelated tokens using the name, including a Super Pepe (SUPEPE) on BNB Chain and a Super Pepe (SPEPE) at a different Ethereum address, plus presale sites with similar branding. Work through these steps before you swap.
- 1
Copy the address from CoinGecko or Etherscan
Confirm that CoinGecko's Super Pepe page and the Etherscan token page point to the same contract. Etherscan showed 622 holders and a max supply of 1 billion SP when we checked.
- 2
Match the full address in your wallet or DEX
Checking only the first and last few characters is not enough; address-poisoning scams create look-alike addresses. Paste and compare the whole string.
- 3
Confirm the chain
CoinGecko lists SP on Ethereum only. A Super Pepe on BNB Chain or Solana is almost certainly a different token.
- 4
Start from official links
Do not use contract addresses or airdrop links from replies, DMs or ads. Begin from the links registered on CoinGecko.
If you want to see which coins crypto Telegram channels are talking about, Theddari's Telegram trend page tracks that chatter. Buzz is not a safety signal, though, so it never replaces the address check.
Before buying: liquidity, holder concentration and venues

Having the right address does not mean you can exit at a fair price. Here is what GeckoTerminal's pool data and token info showed on October 30, 2026.
Liquidity sits in one pool
Almost all trading happens in the SP/ETH pool on Uniswap V4, which held about $413K of liquidity. Over 24 hours that pool saw about $1.08 million in volume, with 551 buys and 223 sells. Against a market cap near $19.2 million, that is thin: an order of a few tens of thousands of dollars can move the price sharply, so check price impact and slippage settings before confirming. Other pools such as SP/USDC held only a few dollars of liquidity and quoted very different prices, so routing through them could fill you at a bad rate.
Top 50 wallets hold about 44%
| Holder rank | Share of supply |
|---|---|
| Top 1-10 | 15.12% |
| 11-30 | 16.33% |
| 31-50 | 13.01% |
| Everyone else | 55.53% |
With roughly 621 holders, the top 50 addresses control about 44% of supply. Some of those may be the liquidity pool or other contracts rather than individuals, so the share alone does not prove whale control. Still, a handful of wallets selling together could knock the price down fast. Open the Holders tab on Etherscan and see who the top addresses actually are.
Contract code and trading venues
- Etherscan shows verified source code with only standard ERC-20 functions such as transfer and approve. No mint, blacklist or owner-only functions appeared in the ABI.
- GeckoTerminal's automated scan did not flag SP as a honeypot. That covers sell restrictions in code, not price risk.
- CoinGecko listed only one venue, Uniswap V4, and no centralized exchange. For coins that do trade on Korean won exchanges, Theddari's kimchi premium tracker compares Korean and global prices, but SP is not one of them.
- No whitepaper, named team or roadmap was found. If the website and X account disappear, there is little else to go on.
Memecoin risks and the limits of investor protection
In a staff statement on meme coins dated February 27, 2025, the US SEC's Division of Corporation Finance said typical meme coins resemble collectibles, carry no rights to income or profits, and are not offered as securities. As a result, purchasers and holders are not protected by federal securities laws. The statement is a non-binding staff view, and it notes that fraud tied to meme coin sales can still be pursued by other agencies under other laws.
Outside the US the practical picture is similar. Tokens bought directly on a decentralized exchange skip any exchange listing review or market surveillance, and if you send funds to the wrong address or the token goes to zero, there is usually nobody to reverse it. You are responsible for your own wallet, gas fees and every approval you sign.
- A trending rank reflects searches and page views, not quality or safety.
- Tokens only a day or two old have short price histories, and multi-x daily swings are common.
- Copycat names (Super, 2.0, Gold and so on) keep appearing, so check the contract every time.
- Size any position so a total loss would not affect your finances, and keep orders small relative to pool liquidity.
In short, Super Pepe (SP) is a new Ethereum memecoin that only shares a name and a mascot with PEPE. Before buying, confirm the contract 0x8bb6aa42be6551d9843ce3f4ec5297b6c0d9179c, compare your order size with the main pool's liquidity, look at the top holders, and start from official links. Theddari's blog trend dashboard shows which coins are getting written about, but on-chain data should be the basis for any decision.
