"Unlike foundation-hosted events, everyone was the protagonist here."
"One of the best events I’ve ever attended — perfect content and networking."
"I traveled from Busan in the morning to meet respected peers in person — it felt like a dream."
"This was the only truly community-driven event I’ve seen in Korea. It was hard to believe it wasn’t run by a company — everyone moved voluntarily and in a decentralized way. It was the ideal form of a DAO."
5. Outcomes & Impact
- Established a successful benchmark for community-led meetups, expanding the footprint of SocialFi and Yapping culture in Korea.
- Generated significant brand and network effects through organic participant advocacy and positive word-of-mouth.
- Enabled high-quality connections among Web3 builders, projects, KOLs, and media representatives.
- Built a solid foundation for future collaborations and market entry strategies ahead of the main KBW events.
- Kaito’s official account retweeted
- Regular participants organized their own events, sponsored prizes, sent emails saying they’d be happy to help with anything—even picking up trash—offered to support as staff, and even made name tags. Within the main meetup, there were countless decentralized events like these.
SocialFi Pizza Night: Yapping Seoul was only possible because we all built it together.
I’ll remember it forever. Thank you 🥰
