NFT 1.0 back in 2020-2021 was just the PFP.
Fuego is trying to build NFT 2.0 which is why the mint is not free.
Every Fuego gets its own wallet built into the NFT (ERC-6551). Protocol fees get converted into real assets and deposited there. Hold the Fuego, own whats inside -> sell it and the vault goes with it. Nothing locked.
Vault layer is in development, but the revenue that fills it starts day 1, so when vaults go live they dont start from zero.
We'll keep adding and improving fee mechanisms over time with the vaults in mind.
