๐ฎ๐ท Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi offered to help broker talks between Saudi Arabia and Yemen's Ansarallah, in a call Sunday with his Saudi counterpart, Prince Faisal bin Farhan.
Araghchi said Iran was ready to help start a dialogue and reach a political solution, IRNA reported. He warned that "insisting on a military approach and disregarding a political solution would only further complicate the situation," according to Al Jazeera.
Riyadh hasn't publicly responded to the offer. The Saudi Foreign Ministry said only that the two discussed "the recent escalation in the region and the efforts being made to address it," and that Araghchi initiated the call.
The offer follows the weekendโs missile attacks on Riyadh's King Khalid International Airport, which killed 13 people and wounded more than 300.
