๐ฎ๐ท Iran's security chief says US response to its Hormuz terms is "INADEQUATE"
Mohsen Rezaei, head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, said Sunday that Washington had accepted some of the seven conditions Tehran set roughly two weeks ago for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, but called its reply "inadequate." He told state media the strait will stay closed to the US and no talks will take place until the conditions are met. "Iranian diplomacy has changed and there will be no return to the status quo ante," he wrote on X.
Rezaei also mocked Trump for resorting to "smuggling" after the US Navy "failed to reopen" Hormuz, a reference to tankers crossing with their transponders switched off under US naval escort. Iran has largely blocked the strait since the US and Israel attacked it while in the middle of negotiations in February.
