๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ท "Refugees are welcome. Tourists go home."

About 70 anti-Zionist activists marched through Athens's Exarchia neighborhood on Friday, vandalizing businesses they identified as linked to Israel. They left graffiti reading "Death to the IDF" and โ€œTourists go homeโ€ according to footage filmed by journalist Alexis Daloumis. The march came as Greece deepens military and economic ties with Israel. In August, Athens signed a roughly $3.4 billion deal for an Israeli air defense network dubbed "Achilles Shield," and Israeli arms maker Elbit is building a flight training center for the Greek air force. Israelis are among the fastest-growing groups of tourists and property buyers in Athens. Israeli investors have bought apartments in central neighborhoods for short-term rentals, including in Exarchia, a neighborhood fighting gentrification and Airbnb.
