๐ต๐ธ๐น๐ท Hamas political bureau chief Khalil al-Hayya met Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan in Ankara on Friday to discuss Gaza and Turkey's role in supporting Palestinians, according to a Hamas statement.
โค Al-Hayya briefed Fidan on continued Israeli bombardment and threats in Gaza and the worsening humanitarian crisis, and discussed the role of the Board of Peace in holding Israel to the ceasefire terms and halting its violations.
โค The two also discussed Israeli escalation in the West Bank, Jerusalem and al-Aqsa Mosque, and the treatment of Palestinian prisoners.
โค Al-Hayya said Hamas is ready to join a national dialogue to rebuild Palestinian institutions.
โค Fidan stressed continued efforts to stop the "aggression," ensure the agreements are honored and meet urgent humanitarian needs, according to Hamas.
The Hamas delegation included Mousa Abu Marzouk, head of its international relations office, Basem Naim, head of its Arab and Islamic relations office, and Mousa Akari, its representative in Turkey. Turkish diplomatic sources confirmed the meeting to Anadolu but gave no details.
