πΊπ¦π·πΊ Ukraine appears to have struck a third data center belonging to Yandex, often called Russia's Google, in three days, with reports of a fire and outages across the company's cloud network on Saturday night.
β€ Wednesday: A drone hit Yandex's data center in Sasovo, Ryazan region, which houses two of its three AI supercomputers. It halted operations, knocking out Yandex Cloud and services used by Russian Railways and major banks.
β€ Thursday: Drones hit Yandex's Kaluga facility, completely disabling "several data center modules," the company said. Nine people were injured in the region.
Zelensky has framed the strikes as retaliation for Russian attacks that destroyed data centers in Kyiv this month: "We always respond in kind."
The data center campaign comes as Trump demands Ukraine stop hitting Russian oil refineries. "He better damn well stop," Trump said Saturday, calling for Ukraine to get "a new president." Ukraine hit four refineries this week, though no refinery strikes were reported Saturday.
