⭕️ Russia's drone output now far outpaces America's ability to shoot them down, former Soviet naval officer and analyst Andrei Martyanov told Daniel Davis on Deep Dive. Martyanov says he first detected the pattern in 2015.

Russia builds about 36,000 Geran-4 and Geran-5 drones a year, according to Ukrainian military intelligence. These are Russia's newest jet-powered attack drones, which grew out of the Iranian Shahed and are faster and harder to shoot down. Lockheed Martin delivered 620 PAC-3 MSE Patriot interceptors in 2025. A Pentagon deal signed in January aims to raise that to about 2,000 a year by 2033. The drones have helped close Ukraine's Black Sea ports since July, and Iran has asked Russia for them for use against Israel and the US, the Financial Times reported last month. "The West is done, they just don't know it yet," he added.
