Universal High Income (UHI) is a memecoin that trades on Robinhood Chain. Its name borrows the idea that if AI and robots do the work, people should receive a generous universal income, but as of October 22, 2026 the project's website describes no mechanism that actually pays holders anything. On CoinGecko it sits in the Meme category with a single decentralized market. If the trending list sent you here, the useful questions are which contract you are looking at, how much liquidity backs the price, and whether you are about to buy a lookalike.

This guide covers what the project is, what its market data looked like on the day it trended, how to tell it apart from other tokens using the same name, and a practical pre-purchase checklist. Prices and ranks change by the hour, so read every number below as a snapshot from October 22, 2026.

What Universal High Income actually is

The official site leads with one line, 'the beginning of universal basic income is here!', and a 'Narrative' section that embeds X posts from public figures such as Elon Musk talking about universal high income. The token section lists the ticker $UHI, Robinhood Chain, and the contract 0xE01aDA02FB4d1951cDb8cBb761d509db2FF02C94. There is no whitepaper, roadmap, or distribution formula. Embedded posts are raw material for a meme; they do not mean any of those people are involved.

Income in the name, memecoin in the mechanics

The word 'income' invites people to expect dividends or yield. Nothing in UHI's public materials shows holders receiving tokens or stablecoins just for holding; the price moves only with buying and selling demand. For contrast, a different token, $INCOME, publishes a design that sends 60% of trading fees to holders, 25% to a treasury, and burns 15%, and even it warns that rewards follow trading activity and are not a fixed yearly rate. The lesson: an income-themed name is not an income stream until a contract and documentation prove it.

Why Robinhood Chain matters here

Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum layer 2 built on Arbitrum technology that launched on July 1, 2026. It was pitched for real-world assets such as tokenized stocks, yet a CoinGecko analysis found memecoins made up 79.2% of its DEX volume as of July 27. The same report describes how Noxa, the chain's first dominant launchpad, paused launches on July 11 and lost its website within days. The ecosystem is months old, so wallets, explorers, and exchange support are still thin.

UHI market data on October 22, 2026

These figures come from the CoinGecko coin page. Market cap equals fully diluted valuation because the full 1B maximum supply is shown as already circulating.

Depth is the number to focus on. A market cap above $20M sounds substantial, but the liquidity that can absorb an order within 2% of the price is only a few thousand dollars. A sell order of tens of thousands of dollars would face heavy slippage. Market cap is price times supply, a paper figure, not the amount anyone could actually cash out.

How to avoid a same-name Universal High Income token

Search for UHI and you quickly find different projects using the same name and ticker. Even CoinGecko's slug, universal-high-income-2, signals that an earlier coin with this name is already listed.

unihighinc.com calls its address 'the only official $UHI address' and describes robot NFTs that, once activated, can receive tokenized Tesla stock bought with pooled fees. The same site states that payouts depend on funded rounds and protocol conditions and that it is not affiliated with Tesla or Elon Musk. It is a different token from the one CoinGecko tracks. Whichever you look at, never trust a site simply because it calls itself official; match the address in at least three places.

1. 1

   Copy the contract from CoinGecko

Open the coin page, copy the Contract value in the Info panel, and note the first and last six characters.

2. 2

Match it on the project website

Follow CoinGecko's Website link rather than a search ad, and check that the address shown there is identical.

3. 3

Inspect it on a block explorer

On a Robinhood Chain Blockscout or Etherscan-style explorer, confirm the name, symbol, total supply, and holder distribution.

4. 4

Recheck what lands in your wallet

After any swap, confirm the token address in your wallet, and never approve or move unknown tokens that arrive as airdrops.

Checklist before buying a new memecoin like UHI

With a token this new, the most useful exercise is listing what you cannot verify. The more blanks below, the larger the loss you should assume is possible.

• Holder concentration: How much supply do the top wallets hold, and did the deployer sell its initial allocation into the pool?
• Liquidity: Are the LP tokens burned or locked, and is the pool deep enough for the volume it handles? Depth of a few thousand dollars means larger positions cannot exit near the quoted price.
• Contract permissions: Use a token security scanner to look for owner control, minting, pausing, blacklists, or trading taxes. A scan is a hint, not a substitute for an audit.
• Team and channels: Is the team anonymous, how old are the X and Telegram accounts, and do their links match CoinGecko?
• All-in cost: Bridge fees, gas, the pool fee, and slippage can make small trades far more expensive than the quoted price suggests.
• Records and taxes: Tax treatment of token swaps depends on where you live, so check your local rules. DEX trades leave you responsible for keeping your own transaction history, and there is no exchange support desk to recover mistakes.

Track where the hype is coming from

A trending spike can come from real news or from coordinated promotion. TheDdari's Telegram crypto trends page shows which channels mention a token and how quickly those mentions grow.

Common risks with fresh memecoins

No specific incident involving UHI was confirmed at the time of writing, but these risks recur with tokens in similar conditions.

• Rug pulls and dumps: If early wallets sell at once, a shallow pool collapses quickly. Burned LP tokens do not remove the risk of large holders selling.
• Impersonation: With same-name, same-ticker tokens already live, skipping the address check can leave you holding the wrong asset.
• Platform risk: As Noxa showed on Robinhood Chain, a launchpad or front end can disappear suddenly, taking information pages and trading routes with it.
• Narrative dependence: When the buzz around celebrity posts or AI-era basic income fades, demand can drop fast, and a token with no cash flow has little to anchor its price.
• Malicious approvals: Signing an unlimited approval on a fake swap site can let attackers drain other tokens from your wallet.

Bottom line: Universal High Income is a memecoin with no verified income mechanism, very thin liquidity relative to its market cap, and at least one lookalike using the same ticker. Before buying, match the contract in three places, check holder concentration and pool depth, and size any position as money you can afford to lose entirely.
