๐บ๐ธ Andrew Bailey, one of three co-deputy directors at the FBI, announced Monday he is leaving after just over a year, the second such departure amid ongoing turmoil in the bureauโs leadership under Director Kash Patel.
Sources familiar with the arrangement told The New York Times that Patel and Bailey โdid not get alongโ and often went long stretches without speaking, part of a broader unusual three-person leadership structure Trump created after naming podcaster Dan Bongino, who had little law enforcement management experience, as co-deputy director alongside Bailey, a former Missouri attorney general. Bongino was replaced by longtime agent Christopher Raia after he resigned.
