Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wrapped up her upstate New York tour in Syracuse on Monday, meeting Mayor Sharon Owens and local Democratic and Working Families Party members on how to get infrequent voters to the polls, per CNY Central.
The swing also took her to Buffalo and Ithaca, where she held a packed "Students vs. Billionaires" town hall at Cornell, and campaigned with battleground Rep. Josh Riley.
New York "has become increasingly relevant to whether we have a majority or not in the House," she told The New York Times. The tour has fueled speculation about a 2028 Senate or Presidential run, which she did not address. "I love Syracuse," the Bronx native told reporters.
